Job Duties
- Accurately record prices and collect payments
- Responsible for accurate balancing of the cash drawer
- Follow and implement correct accounting procedures for all voids, returns, exchanges, and department transfers
- Accurately collect cash, checks, or charge payments from customers and make changes when required on cash transactions
- Verify identification for authenticity and signature when processing checks and credit card purchases
- Follow liquor and tobacco laws implicitly, including verification and authenticity of valid, acceptable identification
