Job Requirements

- ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
- ability to read and write handwritten notes

Job Qualifications
- restaurant, retail, or cashier experience preferred but not required
- ability to communicate effectively with multiple guests

- dress neatly, clean, and professional
- ability to read and communicate in English
- ability to articulate clear greetings, requests for assistance, and farewells
- ability to respond calmly to dissatisfied guests and escalate issues appropriately

Job Duties
- delivers an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
- acts as ambassador to the building, greeting guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while coordinating game rentals, merchandise sales, and telephones
- keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action or suggests alternatives
- bids farewell to guests leaving, ensuring satisfaction and encouraging return visits
- prepares for the shift by ensuring area is stocked with supplies such as menus, silverware, power cards, and gift cards
- reviews cleanliness and organization of the front desk and host station
- ensures all menus are stocked, cleaned, and maintained
- checks for restocking of necessary supplies
- brings all areas up to standard
- discusses problem areas with manager
- conducts merchandise inventory during and after the shift if applicable
- maintains favorable working relationships with team members to promote cooperative and harmonious work climate
- notifies manager of unhappy guests
- assists other team members as needed
- drives table turn timing by scouting open tables and cleaning as necessary
- rotates seating fairly following guidelines
- manages guest flow from front doors, efficiently helping and directing guests
- manages wait times and communicates with guests, team members, and managers
- delivers silverware as guests are seated
- makes timely and accurate calculations of bill transactions
- greets and assists guests efficiently while processing transactions
- responsible for reconciliation of monies from their banks
- completes "To Go" order transactions accurately
- sells merchandise from the front desk if applicable
- must be friendly and smile frequently
- employee needs to communicate effectively with guests while generating enthusiasm for Dave & Buster's
- dressed neatly and professionally according to guidelines
- reads and communicates clearly in English
- articulates clear greetings and farewells
- responds calmly to dissatisfied guests and calls issues to manager's attention
