Job Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Capacity to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and safety signage
- Active listening and observation skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and meet deadlines
- Frequent walking, bending, balancing, stooping, reaching, pushing, lifting, and repetitive manual dexterity
- Occasional stair climbing
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to perform light housekeeping and maintain cleanliness in lobby areas
- Commitment to protect confidential information and property assets
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency with computer systems such as property management software, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of local area and attractions is beneficial
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
- Basic problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to follow safety and security protocols
Job Duties
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with property standards
- Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and friendly greeting, using guests' names when possible
- Register and orient arriving guests according to property standards
- Be knowledgeable about the property, its programs, amenities and experiences
- Operate the property's phone and communication systems, answering calls politely and taking messages
- Serve as concierge by recommending activities, dining, transportation and local directions
- Handle check-in and check-out procedures including reservations and financial transactions
- Address guest requests promptly and resolve complaints professionally
- Maintain accurate guest accounts, cash handling and reporting
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain front desk and lobby appearance
- Protect the property's assets and ensure security of keys and confidential information
- Deliver messages, faxes, and packages to guests
- Assist with lost and found item management according to procedures
- Anticipate guest needs and build rapport to enhance their experience
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet guest needs efficiently
- Follow safety and security procedures specific to the property
- Manually handle/lift/carry products up to 50 pounds
- Be vertically mobile and perform repetitive manual tasks as needed
