Job Requirements

  • Fluently bilingual in Spanish
  • High energy and enthusiastic personality
  • Computer literate
  • Willingness to work on Saturdays
  • Minimum 1 year of medical or healthcare office receptionist experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be on-site for scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service in accordance with FTOC customer service standards
  • Schedule imaging exams and procedures across all radiology modalities based on physician orders
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements prior to scheduling and/or patient arrival
  • Confirm and update patient demographics, ensuring accurate patient identification and documentation
  • Inform patients of financial obligations such as co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • collect payments at check-in and issue receipts
  • Prepare all required paperwork for diagnostic exams, including imaging orders, lab results, insurance documentation, and authorizations
  • Maintain and update patient information in the EMR/PACS, including scanning, uploading, and accurately documenting exam-related details
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations by protecting patient confidentiality and securing all workstations and medical records
  • Facilitate the distribution of imaging reports and records to referring providers in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Assist with the processing of medical records requests, including subpoenas
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation and contribute to a safe and compliant work environment
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and follow all established policies and procedures
  • Perform standard front office functions, including check-in/check-out processes and completion of Start-of-Day and End-of-Day payment procedures with assigned team members
  • Rotate through different radiology suites and weekend schedules as assigned by management
  • Maintain required certifications and training in accordance with departmental and organizational standards
  • Perform other administrative or operational duties as assigned
