Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years supervisory experience in hotel or similar customer service position
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures
  • Ability to work variable schedules including weekends
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to type 45 words per minute
  • Familiarity with Opera software preferred
  • Must be energetic and outgoing
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to achieve positive guest relations and maximize satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years supervisory experience in hotel or customer relations position
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Second language desirable
  • Strong guest relations and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of company rules and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work variable schedules including weekends
  • Knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Team player capable of working under minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient typing speed of 45 wpm
  • Familiarity with Opera software preferred

Job Duties

  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner
  • Supervise Front Desk Agents, Valet, Bell staff and handle workload during shift
  • Complete shift checklists as specified
  • Review VIP reservations, amenity orders, and resumes for guests
  • Update computer system with inventory and group information
  • Control suites and special blocks accurately
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure guest accommodations
  • Maintain control over rate changes for guests
  • Run accurate room status reports and relay information
  • Monitor and prepare group requirements
  • Print cashiers report and verify balances
  • Monitor key control and maintain hotel security
  • Respond to guest questions regarding the hotel
  • Remain calm and alert during emergency or heavy activity
  • Train, cross-train, and re-train front desk personnel
  • Participate in hotel committees, MOD program and task force assignments
  • Assist the Front Office Manager and act in their absence
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
