Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior front desk experience
  • One to three years supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand and move for up to four hours continuously
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • Willingness to work varying schedules
  • Must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Adherence to company safety and security policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior front desk experience required
  • One to three years supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of loyalty programs, brand standards, and hospitality systems preferred
  • Excellent leadership and customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in basic computer applications including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key systems, and POS
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and collect accurate information
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficient guest registration, check out and telephone service
  • Observe front desk agents and ensure procedures are followed including public relations, guest handling, proper identification and credit verification
  • Maximize hotel revenues through up-sell programs and occupancy strategies
  • Handle guest complaints and requests professionally and ensure follow-through
  • Monitor and respond to guest satisfaction surveys and comments
  • Direct and train front office staff, assist in new hire and ongoing training
  • Organize staff breaks and ensure work schedules are followed
  • Participate in hiring process and assist with performance appraisals
  • Review daily arrivals, VIP reservations, and room availability
  • Relay pertinent information to staff and management
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and completion of all daily reports and forms
  • Coordinate onsite accounting activities and serve as liaison with corporate accounting
  • Verify accuracy of daily revenue reports, payroll, accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain accounting records and reconcile vendor statements
  • Prepare and review invoices for approval and payment
  • Process deposits, reconcile bank statements, and maintain logs for month-end
  • Manage billing and payment collection for direct bill accounts and no-shows
  • Monitor outstanding balances and generate aging reports
  • Oversee payroll records compliance
  • Participate in financial review and reporting
  • Audit daily revenue reports
  • Support tax documentation and reporting
  • Assist guests with inquiries and report maintenance or safety issues
  • Follow company safety and security policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
