Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years supervisory experience in a hotel or related customer service role
  • Proficient in use of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to type at least 45 wpm
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
  • Must abide by company payroll policies and associate handbook rules

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years supervisory experience in a hotel or other customer relations position
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate in English, second language desirable
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
  • Knowledge of cash handling and credit transaction procedures
  • Ability to enforce company rules and SOPs
  • Ability to work variable schedules including weekends
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to type 45 wpm and input data accurately
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera is preferred
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner
  • Supervise Front Desk Agents, Valet, Bell staff and handle workload during shift
  • Review VIP reservations, amenity orders, and resumes for incoming and in-house guests
  • Control suites to ensure suites and special blocks are handled correctly
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure proper handling of guests and groups
  • Run accurate room status reports in a timely manner and relay necessary information to effected departments and individuals
  • Train, cross-train, and re-train all Front Desk Personnel
  • Participate in hotel committees, MOD program and task force assignments
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Assist the Front Office Manager and act in his/her place during his/her absence
