Job Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage and coach a team effectively

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring adherence to brand and hotel standards
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns by researching and determining effective solutions
  • Monitor and work to improve guest satisfaction scores
  • Participate in lobby ambassador activities to build guest relationships
  • Oversee front office operations in the absence of senior management
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks including balancing accounts and conducting audits
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Promote Hersha Hospitality and brand-specific marketing programs
  • Greet guests upon arrival and manage the registration and room assignment process
  • Provide welcome folders containing keys and relevant guest information
  • Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and make change for guests
  • Close out guest accounts and negotiate compromises if necessary
  • Create action plans to improve guest service deficiencies
  • Ensure public areas are clean and well-maintained
  • Follow sustainability practices per the EarthView program
  • Adhere to safety standards including MSDS and OSHA
  • Perform other management requested duties
