Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Four years of front desk related experience or equivalent
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach continually
  • Ability to utilize hand and finger dexterity for keyboard and office equipment
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry items up to 25 lbs occasionally

Job Duties

  • Organizes, directs, and monitors daily activities of front desk agents
  • Ensures efficient, friendly, and professional guest registration, check-out, and telephone service
  • Establishes procedures, prepares and coordinates schedules, and expedites workflow
  • Assists with hiring, training, motivating, and rewarding front desk agents
  • Reviews expected arrivals including VIP and special request reservations for accuracy
  • Informs staff about daily room availability and guest departures
  • Ensures completion of necessary reports and forms daily
  • Performs front desk duties such as checking guests in and out, responding to inquiries, and resolving complaints
  • Assists guests with dining, entertainment, and transportation reservations
  • Monitors and maintains cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, policies, and local attractions
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, planning work, appraising performance, and resolving personnel issues
