Job Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • knowledge of safety standards such as MSDS and OSHA
  • commitment to guest satisfaction and quality service

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring adherence to brand standards and core values
  • resolve guest complaints and concerns through thorough research and effective solutions
  • increase guest satisfaction by monitoring and working to improve scores
  • participate in guest interaction activities to foster relationships and encourage repeat stays
  • oversee front office operations in absence of higher management
  • perform bookkeeping activities including balancing accounts and conducting audits
  • make and confirm reservations
  • promote company and brand marketing programs
  • greet guests upon arrival, register and assign rooms
  • provide welcome folders with keys and information
  • compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and make change
  • close out guest accounts and negotiate compromises in case of dissatisfaction
  • create measurable action plans to address service deficiencies
  • ensure cleanliness and appearance of hotel entrance, reception and public areas
  • follow sustainability practices related to EarthView program
  • practice safety habits and adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other management requested duties
