Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two-year college degree
  • minimum of one year of hotel front desk experience
  • experience in cash handling and accounting procedures
  • ability to communicate effectively in the workplace primary language
  • ability to understand guests’ primary languages
  • physical ability to perform duties requiring finger dexterity, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, verbal communication, and visual acuity

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two-year college degree
  • minimum of one year of hotel front desk experience
  • experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks
  • ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language
  • ability to speak and understand guest primary languages
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • proficiency with property management systems and related hotel technologies
  • leadership and team management experience

Job Duties

  • Participates in the selection of front office personnel
  • trains, cross-trains, and retrains all front office personnel ensuring effective use of Choice University
  • schedules front office and transportation staff with GM approval
  • communicates weekly changes in standards, promotions, and training to department heads
  • evaluates job performance of front office employees
  • maintains communication and relationships across all departments
  • verifies and processes time and attendance commissions weekly
  • ensures accurate room status and rate plan tracking information
  • resolves guest-related problems efficiently and courteously
  • updates and maintains group information and requirements
  • reviews nightly audit pack ensuring PMS reports balance with M-3
  • works within allotted front office budget
  • works front desk shifts as required
  • ensures credit card batches are balanced and submitted daily
  • processes invoices for direct bill accounts and updates GM with aging reports
  • participates in regular front office meetings
  • enforces uniform standards and professionalism
  • upholds the hotel’s commitment to hospitality
  • performs additional duties as requested by corporate or supervisors
