Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent general education development program certificate, at least one year of related work experience, no supervisory experience required, strong communication skills, ability to work flexible shifts, customer service experience preferred, proficiency in handling various payment methods, basic computer skills to manage reservations and accounts, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • assist staff in resolving problematic payments, follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with issue resolution, process guest check-ins including reservation confirmation, room assignment and key issuance, handle all payment types including lodging charges and cash, check or card payments, open accurate guest accounts, anticipate and manage room availability issues and secure alternate accommodations if needed, block rooms in the computer and identify specific requests and requirements, contact appropriate department to resolve guest calls, requests or issues, coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are in perfect condition upon guest arrival, review employee shift logs and memos and document pertinent information, compute cash drawer at start and end of shift, balance and deliver receipts according to accounting specifications, assist management with training, motivation and employee coaching, report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions and participate in safety training and certifications, comply with company policies and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, anticipate and meet guest service needs, communicate clearly and professionally, prepare and review accurate documentation, maintain positive working relationships, ensure compliance with quality standards, perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting or walking for prolonged periods and handling objects up to 10 pounds, perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
