Job Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Availability to work all shifts including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and stooping
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Compliance with safety protocols following MSDS and OSHA guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of related hospitality or supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with front desk operations and reservation systems
  • Ability to resolve guest complaints effectively
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in hospitality
  • Understanding of financial procedures related to accounting and auditing
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards and core values
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns by conducting thorough research and determining effective solutions
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work to increase departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • Participate in lobby ambassador and guest interaction activities to build relationships and encourage repeat stays
  • Oversee front office operations in absence of Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager
  • Perform bookkeeping activities including balancing accounts and conducting audits
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Promote company and brand-specific marketing programs
  • Greet guests upon arrival, register and assign rooms
  • Provide welcome folders with keys, certificates, coupons, and refreshment center keys
  • Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and make change
  • Close out guest accounts at checkout, negotiating compromises if necessary
  • Create actionable plans to address guest service deficiencies
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of hotel entrance, reception, and public areas
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and EarthView program practices
  • Practice safe work habits and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
