Job Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to work variable shifts including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand and hotel standards
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns by researching and determining effective solutions
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to increase departmental and overall satisfaction
  • Participate in lobby ambassador and other guest interaction activities to foster relationships
  • Oversee front office operations in the absence of Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager
  • Perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting audits
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Promote company and brand-specific marketing programs
  • Greet guests upon arrival, register and assign rooms
  • Provide welcome folders with room keys, certificates, coupons, and refreshment center keys
  • Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and make change
  • Close out guest accounts and negotiate compromises if necessary
  • Create specific action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies
  • Ensure hotel entrance, reception, and public areas are maintained for cleanliness and appearance
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to the EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits following MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
