CNS Healthcare (CNS) is a distinguished non-profit organization accredited as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), dedicated to serving the behavioral health needs of Southeastern Michigan. With seven clinic locations and two clubhouses, CNS Healthcare employs around 400 professionals including employees, paraprofessionals, and support staff. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Prior experience working with the public providing customer service
  • Proficiency in word processing, data entry, and telephone skills
  • Ability to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Ability to use discretion and judgement when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships
  • Valid and unrestricted Driver's License
  • Transportation or automobile accessibility with current automobile/vehicle insurance meeting agency policy requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with behavioral health and substance use disorders
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Bilingual

Job Duties

  • Greet and check-in persons served including verifying and updating necessary information in the electronic health record and collecting copays as needed
  • Check-out individuals served including scheduling appointments
  • Collect and document insurance information
  • Assist with coordinating transportation and other services for persons served
  • Maintain the reception area and lobby in a neat, orderly, and welcoming manner
  • Review and update information in electronic health record system as needed
  • Reference and maintain up-to-date relevant agency resources including calendars, office schedules, program directories, and team rosters
  • Provide coverage and support of other Customer Care Team functions and locations as needed
  • Maintain compliance with quality care initiatives including Meaningful Use (MU), Medicare Merit Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) requirements
  • Ensure that the CNS Healthcare standards of service are applied to interactions with individuals served, guests, and staff
  • Assume responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures, corporate compliance program, code of ethics, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory programs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
