Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Availability to work full-time variable shifts Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm
  • Ability to perform clerical and patient care duties
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Less than one year of experience
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to work cooperatively with patients, families, and staff at all levels

Job Duties

  • Collects and records patient data and observations
  • Obtains and records patient vital signs and monitors blood glucose
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Maintains unit and patient records and manages communication devices
  • Greets visitors and answers telephones
  • Runs errands and transports patients
  • Maintains inventory, stocks supplies, and cleans patient and nursing areas
