Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical or mental health office preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Basic computer skills including EMR
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Compassionate and patient-oriented approach
- Ability to work full-time on-site
- Willingness to support various administrative tasks
- Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical or mental health office preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Basic knowledge of billing and insurance processes
- Experience or interest in social media management is a plus
- Prior authorization experience is a plus
- Comfort with AI tools or willingness to learn is desirable
Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, check them in, and assist with forms or questions
- Answer and route phone calls in a professional and compassionate manner
- Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Verify insurance and collect co-pays/payments
- Maintain organized and confidential patient records
- Assist with billing support and office inventory
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth flow of the day
- Uphold HIPAA and practice confidentiality standards at all times
- Support occasional marketing and communications efforts – experience with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) is a plus
- Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support daily operations
