Job Requirements
- One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- communication skills
- ability to speak effectively to customers or employees or organization
- ability to understand carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- knowledge of death and dying issues and awareness of hospice mission and philosophy
- knowledge of medical terminology
- computer skills with Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet Explorer

Job Duties
- Answers telephone and routes calls and messages to appropriate staff
- greets visitors and directs them to the proper staff or meeting room
- addresses and manages email messages timely
- performs office activities to promote smooth operation and organizational goals
- ensures phone switch to answering service at 4:30 PM with accurate after-hours coverage information
- retrieves messages left overnight
- receives shipments from USPS, UPS, FedEx and distributes them to appropriate staff
