Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of experience in receptionist, customer service or administrative role
  • preferred experience in social service environment
  • reliable transportation
  • valid driver license
  • valid vehicle insurance
  • clean driving record
  • proficient in data entry software such as Excel and Adobe
  • skilled in using personal computers, various software, email and internet
  • detail oriented
  • organized
  • self motivated
  • able to work independently and in a team
  • good written and verbal communication skills
  • good critical thinking and problem solving skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors warmly, determine their needs, and direct them to the appropriate staff or department
  • answer, screen, and forward incoming calls
  • take and relay messages accurately
  • provide information about agency programs, services, and procedures
  • maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized reception area
  • assist clients requesting food assistance and document all services in Charity Tracker
  • assist clients needing donations from the Clothes Closet and ensure all client information is logged
  • relay important updates and changes in office operations to visitors and staff
  • work closely with the Office Manager to ensure front desk operations align with agency policies
  • assist in coordinating events, community outreach activities, and donation distributions
  • complete all required professional development in a timely manner
  • adhere to the Code of Conduct and Faith and Moral requirements
  • maintain confidentiality of client, donor, and organizational information
  • perform other duties as assigned by the RSS Employment & Youth Mentoring Program Director
