Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer and phone
  • Occasional walking and standing required
  • Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
  • Completion of medical clearance requirements including Hepatitis B vaccination, Pneumococcal screening, and Tuberculosis screening
  • Exceptions allowed for approved medical or religious accommodations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Greet and check in/out patients
  • Enter accurate insurance and patient information into the electronic health system
  • Collect copays, balances, and deductibles
  • reconcile daily payments
  • Assist with the patient flow in coordination with medical assistants
  • Provide directions and general information to patients and visitors
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue access passes
  • Update appointment calendars and scheduling systems
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and faxes
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility for date of service
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned
