Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training
- must have or obtain BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire
- fluency in spoken Farsi
- ability to interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers and/or external contacts
- ability to work independently and organize work accurately and efficiently
- skill in using office equipment such as postal machines, printers, fax/scanners
- ability to organize large mailing projects on a weekly basis
- ability to follow directions
- valid driver's license required for any position requiring driving between STRIDE locations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- associate's degree preferred
- fluency in spoken Farsi
- 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ year of front desk experience in a medical or dental setting preferred
- must have or obtain BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire
- ability to interact positively and build rapport with patients and coworkers
- proficiency in using office equipment and Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel
- knowledge of electronic medical records system
- ability to follow directions and organize work efficiently
Job Duties
- Demonstrates professional behavior with the public, patients, and peers at all times
- registers, check-in, and checks-out patients for all services
- maintains charts and ensures HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- collects and uploads all necessary documentation and consents
- promptly and accurately updates patient records including financial and demographic information
- coordinates scheduling of new patient referrals and schedules appointments
- collects copayment and account balances at time of service
- acts as liaison between patients and billing department regarding charges, payments, and insurance
- schedules appointments according to guidelines
- assists in medical records duties as needed
- assists in training new front desk personnel
- contacts patients to follow up on no-shows and reschedules appointments
- ensures schedules are filled and maintained
- works closely and communicates consistently with internal staff to ensure continuity of care
- efficiently handles multiple clerical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment
- supports other clinics based on organizational needs
- ensures the waiting room is clean, sanitized, and neat
- follows up on correspondence related to patient appointments
