Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes
- Ability to handle patient financial transactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Pass physical evaluation, urine drug screen and background checks
- Participation in COVID-19 vaccination program as required by state mandates
Job Qualifications
- Experience with insurance verification including HMO and PPO
- Prior front desk experience preferred
- Minimum one year healthcare experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Competent in leadership, teamwork and cooperation
- Demonstrates high ethics and professional integrity
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Bilingual preferred
Job Duties
- Accurately check in patients including collecting ID and insurance cards
- Collect signatures on financial, HIPAA and arbitration forms
- Collect copays, coinsurance, deductibles or balances
- Update patient demographic information into system
- Schedule follow up and new patient appointments
- Balance cash, check and credit collections daily
- Collaborate with registration, telephone and clinical staff for smooth patient flow
