Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • at least two years of front office experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • one to two years of customer service
  • ability to travel to other sites as necessary
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency in computer software and databases
  • ability to maintain HIPAA compliance
  • ability to type 40 words per minute

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • minimum two years of front office experience, preferably medical setting
  • one to two years of customer service experience
  • excellent customer service skills
  • attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • proficient computer software and database skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • comfortable asking probing questions to patients
  • caring, compassionate, and patient attitude
  • maintain HIPAA compliance
  • multitasking and proactive problem-solving skills
  • ability to type 40 words per minute

Job Duties

  • Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice
  • schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing directed by physicians
  • compile and ensure patient paperwork completeness for daily appointments
  • collect co-pays and past balances and enter them into Practice Management
  • enter patient demographics and clinical information into Practice Management and EHR
  • scan patient driver’s license and insurance cards into Ntierprise
  • ensure referrals are obtained, scanned into EMR, and linked to appointments
  • reconcile payment batches and submit them to the Site Manager
  • schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
  • assist patients with Phreesia registration system
  • travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region as needed
