Job Requirements
- Must be willing to travel to other locations
- Must be willing to assist in the ambulatory surgery centers
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds
- Must be responsive and comfortable with seeing and handling blood
- Detail-oriented
- Available to work region 13 operating schedule
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Ability to handle confidential patient information responsibly
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in clinical duties
Job Duties
- Communicating directly with patients and their needs
- Greeting patients including checking in, collecting copay, verifying insurance, and preparing charts
- Checking out patients by scheduling appointments, making referrals, and verifying prescriptions based on individual needs
- Assisting patients to their vehicles when necessary
- Effectively processing messages between patients and administration or other medical offices
- Reporting to office manager and/or practice administrator
- Assisting in the ambulatory surgery centers when needed
