Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel to other locations
  • Must be willing to assist in the ambulatory surgery centers
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform clerical duties and clinical tasks
  • Responsive and able to problem-solve
  • Available to work part-time including Thursdays and Fridays at Columbus, GA location

Job Qualifications

  • Experience using eClinicalWorks or other EHR system preferred
  • One year of clinical experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with seeing and handling blood
  • Willingness to cross-train on clinical responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Communicating directly with patients and their needs
  • Greeting patients including checking in, collecting copay, verifying insurance, preparing charts
  • Checking out patients by scheduling, referring, verifying prescriptions based on individual needs
  • Assisting patients to vehicle when necessary
  • Effectively processing messages between patients and administration or other medical offices
  • Reporting to office manager and/or practice administrator
  • Assisting in the ambulatory surgery centers as needed
