Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • proficiency with office software and appointment scheduling systems
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced health and wellness environment

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors in person or on the telephone
  • answer or refer inquiries
  • optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization
  • schedule appointments in person or by telephone
  • comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions, maintaining the reception area
  • maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
  • record and update financial information, record and collect patient charges, control past due payments
  • help patients in distress by responding to emergencies
  • protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
  • maintain operation by following policies and procedures
