Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- At least two years of front office experience preferably in healthcare
- One to two years of customer service experience
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Ability to travel to other sites as necessary
- Must maintain HIPAA compliance
- Able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day
- Capable of intermittently stooping, bending, speaking, and listening
- Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications

- Minimum of two years of front office experience, preferably in a medical setting
- One to two years of customer service experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer software and database skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable asking probing questions to patients
- Demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and patient attitude
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Multitasking and proactive problem-solving abilities

Job Duties
- Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice and demonstrate a caring attitude
- Schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing as directed by physicians
- Ensure all required patient paperwork is compiled for daily appointments
- Collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into the daily batch in Practice Management
- Review and enter patient demographics and clinical data into Practice Management and EHR accurately
- Scan patients' driver’s licenses and insurance cards into the system
- Obtain, scan, and link all necessary referrals to patient appointments
- Reconcile payment batches at the end of the day and submit them to the Site Manager
- Schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
- Assist patients with the Phreesia registration system
- Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic area as required
