Job Requirements
- minimum high school diploma or GED
- minimum two years of front office experience preferably in a medical setting
- one to two years of customer service experience
- ability to travel to other sites as necessary
- able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day
- able to stoop, bend, speak, and listen intermittently
- frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications

- proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficient in computer software and database usage
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- comfortable asking probing questions to patients
- caring, compassionate, and patient attitude
- knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- multitasking and proactive problem-solving skills
- ability to type 40 words per minute
Job Duties
- create a positive and professional first impression of the practice and show patients a 'we care' attitude
- schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing directed by physicians
- ensure all required patient paperwork is compiled for appointments
- collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into Practice Management batches
- review and enter patient demographics and clinical information into Practice Management and EHR
- scan patient's driver's license and insurance cards into the system
- ensure all required referrals are obtained, scanned, and linked to appointments
- reconcile payment batches daily and submit to site manager
- schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
- assist patients with completing the Phreesia registration system
- travel to other sites as necessary to support operations
