Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in healthcare clerical work or related field preferred
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be reliable and professional
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to work flexible hours and float to other locations
- Must comply with vaccination requirements or obtain approved exemption
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year previous experience or some health care clerical experience or medical terminology preferred
- Ability to operate office equipment required for job duties
- Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Interface with patients and families, physicians, vendors and staff
- Admit patients and process their paperwork
- Update patient demographics and information in system
- Collect balances due and document in the billing system
- Handle funds per office procedure
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Assist with chart prep and other business office duties necessary
- Coordinate with office on scheduling for procedures and anesthesia coverage
- Float to other locations for staff coverage as needed
- Maintain reliability, dedication, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
