Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems preferred
- Ability to operate computer systems and office equipment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Job Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Working knowledge of medical insurance or EMR systems
- Knowledge of ChenMed medical products, services, standards, policies and procedures
- Skilled in operating phones, personal computers, software and basic IT systems
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with employees, patients and others
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of reports and data
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

- Positive and professional attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and regionally up to 10% of the time

Job Duties
- Interacts appropriately with patients and records information while greeting, checking-in, checking-out or scheduling appointments for patients
- Conducts lobby checks to ensure organization and cleanliness
- Serves as the gatekeeper for PCP and Specialists schedules including ensuring Top 40 patients are scheduled every 13 days
- Utilizes computer equipment and programs to add new patient information, prints relevant forms, schedules appointments, responds to emails and generates New Patient packets
- Ensures patient contact and emergency contact information is accurately documented
- Conducts love calls, mails birthday and greeting cards to patients
- Answers telephones, takes detailed and accurate messages, and directs messages appropriately
- Clearly communicates information about ChenMed clinical personnel to patients and others
- Verifies patient insurance, collects copays, and assists with scheduling follow-up and referrals
- Escorts patients to exam rooms ensuring comfort before leaving
- Acts as HEDIS champion providing visibility of HEDIS needs and reports on hospitalizations
- Presents customer service surveys at check out and escalates if needed
- Participates in daily and weekly huddles providing patient details
- Regulates and monitors transportation aspects including drivers, deliveries and ride coordination
- Maintains confidentiality of patient personal information and medical records
- Reviews patient information for completeness and accuracy
- Transmits correspondence by mail, email or fax
- Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion
