Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years front office experience preferably in a medical setting
- One to two years customer service experience
- Ability to travel to other sites as necessary
- Must maintain HIPAA compliance

- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer software and database skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to ask probing questions of patients
- Demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and patient attitude
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Multitasking and proactive problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice
- Schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing directed by the physician
- Ensure all required patient paperwork is compiled for appointments
- Collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into the batch for the day
- Review for completeness and accuracy and enter patient demographics and clinical information into Practice Management and EHR
- Scan patient's driver’s license and insurance cards into Ntierprise
- Ensure all required referrals are obtained, scanned, and linked to appointments
- Reconcile payment batches at the end of every day and submit to Site Manager
- Schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
- Assist patients with the completion of the Phreesia registration system
- Travel to other sites as necessary within a reasonable geographic region
