Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- at least two years of front office experience preferably in a medical environment
- one to two years of customer service experience
- strong communication skills both verbal and written
- proficiency in medical terminology and coding
- ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
- must demonstrate care, compassion, and patient-oriented attitude
- proficiency with computer software and databases
- compliance with HIPAA regulations
- ability to travel to other practice sites within the region
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- minimum of two years of front office experience preferably in a medical setting
- one to two years of customer service experience
- excellent customer service skills
- attention to detail and willingness to learn
- proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficient computer software and database skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- comfortable asking probing questions to patients

- multitasking and proactive problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice
- schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing directed by the physician
- ensure all required patient paperwork is compiled for daily appointments
- collect co-pays and past balances and enter them into the daily batch in Practice Management
- review and enter patient demographics and clinical information into Practice Management and EHR
- scan patient’s driver’s license and insurance cards into Ntierprise
- ensure all required referrals are obtained, scanned, and linked to daily appointments
- reconcile payment batches daily and submit to Site Manager
- schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
- assist patients with Phreesia registration system
- travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region as needed
