Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
  • Ability to work under general supervision of a licensed provider
  • Comfortable performing clerical and clinical duties
  • Proven ability to handle patient interactions professionally
  • Detail-oriented work approach
  • Ability to work part-time hours including Thursday and Friday shifts in Columbus, GA

Job Qualifications

  • Experience using eClinicalWorks or other EHR system preferred
  • 1-year clinical experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable seeing and handling blood
  • Willingness to cross-train across clinical responsibilities
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds

Job Duties

  • Communicating directly with patients and their needs
  • Greeting patients by checking in, collecting copay, verifying insurance, and preparing charts
  • Checking out patients by scheduling follow-ups, referring, and verifying prescriptions
  • Assisting patients to vehicles when necessary
  • Effectively processing messages between patients and administration or other medical offices
  • Reporting to office manager and/or practice administrator
  • Assisting in ambulatory surgery center clinical duties
