Job Description

Institute For Orthopedics & Chiropractic (IOC) is a well-established multi-specialty clinic with locations in Edina and St. Paul, Minnesota. The clinic is dedicated to providing comprehensive non-surgical treatment for a wide range of orthopedic conditions using an integrative approach that combines traditional chiropractic techniques, specifically the Gonstead Method, with other therapeutic practices. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a reception or administrative role, preferably in a medical or clinical setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate Apple computers and software
  • Basic knowledge of insurance and medical terminology preferred
  • Ability to work full-time hours including occasional Saturdays
  • Reliable transportation for potential travel between locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in medical office or healthcare environment preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Apple computers including iPad, Pages, Numbers, and Microsoft Teams
  • Familiarity with medical software such as Jane is a plus
  • Passionate about healthy living and patient care
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset

Job Duties

  • Greeting patients
  • Collecting copays and balances
  • Preparing paperwork for upcoming appointments
  • Communication with patients and doctors
  • Verifying insurance benefits
  • Complete prior authorizations/referrals
  • Answer multi-line phone and scheduling for two locations
  • Explains insurance benefits to the patients
  • Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
