Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a customer service or receptionist position
  • ability to work every-other Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to remain calm under pressure
  • basic proficiency with multi-line phone systems
  • willingness to participate in in-service education and training programs

Job Qualifications

  • ability to multi-task effectively
  • ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in emergency situations
  • experience with multi-line telephone systems
  • prior experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred
  • basic computer and clerical skills

Job Duties

  • follow receptionist schedule instructions as outlined in policy and procedure manual
  • answer and operate telephone console and direct calls to appropriate individuals or departments
  • greet, direct, and provide information to visitors, guests, residents, and employees
  • explain and enforce infection control policies for anyone entering the building
  • operate the intercom and paging system
  • communicate emergencies, problems, or non-routine events to supervisor or appropriate personnel
  • maintain communication log of events for each shift
