Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two or more years of front office experience preferably in medical settings
- One to two years of customer service experience
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding including ICD-9 and CPT-4
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude
- Willingness to travel to other locations within a reasonable geographic region
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of front office experience preferably in a medical setting
- One to two years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer software and database skills
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Excellent customer service
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to ask probing questions to patients
- Demonstrate caring, compassionate, and patient attitude
- Maintain HIPAA compliance

Job Duties
- Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice and show patients a caring attitude
- Schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing directed by physicians
- Ensure all required patient paperwork is compiled for daily appointments
- Collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into the daily practice management batch
- Review, enter, and verify patient demographics and clinical information in Practice Management and EHR
- Scan patients' driver's licenses and insurance cards front and back into Ntierprise
- Obtain, scan, and link all required referrals to daily appointments within Practice Management
- Reconcile daily payment batches and submit them to the Site Manager
- Schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
- Assist patients with completion of the Phreesia registration system
- Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region as required
