Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Minimum one year of office clerical experience with extensive public contact
  • Ability to work less than 20 hours per week including evenings and some Saturdays
  • Ability to operate computers and modern office equipment
  • Ability to handle cash transactions with accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check following a verbal offer of employment
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate
  • One year of office clerical experience that includes extensive public contact
  • Knowledge of principles of customer service and public relations
  • Familiarity with modern office procedures and equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Skills in record-keeping and clerical support
  • Experience operating office equipment including computers and calculators
  • Ability to perform basic math functions accurately
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain neatness and organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and shift priorities as needed

Job Duties

  • Perform various clerical duties including answering telephones and greeting visitors
  • Provide information in person and on the telephone
  • Receive and process registration and rental fees
  • Provide refunds according to established procedures
  • Prepare receipts and deposits as appropriate
  • Operate office machines including computers, copiers, calculators and other office equipment
  • Monitor facility use including securing building during evening and weekend shifts
  • Perform a variety of special duties, projects, or activities of assigned department
  • Understand and follow current recreational department procedures
  • Perform work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
