Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in customer service preferred
  • ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially
  • knowledge of basic computer functions
  • willingness to work flexible hours including some Saturdays
  • ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
  • ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand information effectively
  • apply common sense to follow written or verbal instructions
  • basic computer knowledge
  • experience with dental management software preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • interpersonal and listening skills
  • prior dental office experience preferred but not required
  • willingness to learn and undergo training

Job Duties

  • Greet and check in patients
  • answer the phone and schedule appointments
  • maintain patient accounts and records
  • understand and apply insurance plan rules and protocols
  • demonstrate patience and sensitivity to patient emotions
  • listen and follow directions from dentists or supervisors
  • verify patient insurance
  • ensure all record keeping is complete and accurate
  • submit claims to insurance companies
  • notify Office Manager of equipment or safety concerns
  • participate in morning huddles, chart reviews, and office meetings
  • adhere to company policies and HIPAA, OSHA regulations
  • perform other assigned tasks
