Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or receptionist position preferred
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to use dental practice management software preferred
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Familiarity with office equipment
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a front desk receptionist or similar customer service role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and friendly phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using dental practice management software (Open Dental, Salesforce) is a plus
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using standard office equipment
Job Duties
- Warmly greet patients, visitors, and vendors, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Check patients in and out, collecting necessary information, and updating patient records accurately
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental software
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about dental services
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their benefits
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments, processing insurance claims, and providing receipts
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring cleanliness and a professional appearance
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns or complaints professionally and compassionately
