Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service or receptionist position preferred
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to use dental practice management software preferred
  • Basic knowledge of dental terminology is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Familiarity with office equipment
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a front desk receptionist or similar customer service role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional and friendly phone etiquette
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in using dental practice management software (Open Dental, Salesforce) is a plus
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet patients, visitors, and vendors, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
  • Check patients in and out, collecting necessary information, and updating patient records accurately
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental software
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about dental services
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their benefits
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments, processing insurance claims, and providing receipts
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring cleanliness and a professional appearance
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns or complaints professionally and compassionately
