- minimum one year medical front desk or medical assistant experience
- proficiency with EMR systems
- knowledge of dermatological medical terminology

Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- one or more years of medical front desk and/or medical assistant experience
- experience in dermatology or other medical specialties preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and time management abilities
- proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- knowledge of medical terminology, especially dermatology
- ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Job Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- check patients in and out for appointments, verifying demographic and insurance information
- collect co-pays and other necessary payments at check-in or check out
- answer patient questions regarding appointment scheduling and office policies
- assist patients with completing necessary paperwork
- manage appointment scheduling and confirmation via phone and in person
- maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- answer incoming phone calls and voicemails promptly, directing inquiries to appropriate staff
- maintain incoming and outgoing fax distribution
- maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- assist with opening and closing procedures as needed
- monitor patient information on external sites such as JotForm and My Health Online (MHO)
- maintain front office inventory including sunscreen and cosmetic supplies
- perform other duties as assigned
