Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant experience in customer service or front desk operations
  • proficiency in telephone and computer systems including Microsoft Office
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and handle varying workload
  • ability to work weekends when required
  • successful completion of a criminal background check including no convictions for violent offenses, theft offenses, or offenses against children

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or relevant experience
  • proficiency in the use of telephones, personal computers, and Microsoft Office
  • ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff

Job Duties

  • Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers
  • maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees especially members of their own team
  • have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive
  • answer phone calls and redirect them to the concerned people effectively
  • record complaints, problems, queries and provide suitable answers and assistance
  • receive postal, courier packages addressed to employees and send them to the addressed person correctly
  • coordinate communication between employees of different departments
  • schedule practices for sports as called in
  • assist with registrations for sports, pavilions, memberships, rentals, and trash bags
  • check in members and maintain member database
  • maintain a clean front desk and lobby to provide a pleasant atmosphere for patrons
  • enforce and interpret Recreation Center rules to provide a safe, orderly, and family-friendly environment for all patrons
  • responsible for closing out and balancing register
  • may be required to work weekends for special program events and tournaments
  • complete daily tasks such as cleaning, inventory
  • perform other duties as required or assigned
