Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- any combination of experience, education, or training that provides the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required is acceptable
- must be reliable and responsible
- ability to communicate effectively in oral situations
- ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
- human relations skills to deal effectively with visitors/customers in person or on the telephone
- ability to exhibit maturity in the workplace and have a cooperative attitude
- ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Greet and register guests
- reconcile all transactions from cashier paperwork to ensure accuracy
- answer phones following Moody Gardens phone etiquette
- provide constant feedback to hotel management and department heads concerning service issues including guest desires, complaints and comments
- check guests out of the hotel
- resolve guest challenges throughout their stay in the hotel
- balance all outlets and post correctly
- after balancing the day, turn the day in the front office system
- maintain open and excellent communication with all department heads
- upgrade guests and promote hotel services and amenities
- complete the registration process, code electronic keys, and select rooms based on guest needs
- ensure guest knows location of room and arrange for team member to accompany guest to room
- maintain up-to-date status on in-house groups, functions, arrivals and departures
- review VIP arrivals and ensure guest’s needs for special requests are met
- perform any and all other duties as assigned, subject to change as management deems necessary
