Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Knowledge of insurance plans including Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace required
  • At least 1 year Erie experience in a PBA role or similar position required
  • Prior staff supervision experience beneficial
  • Knowledge of medical/dental office computer applications required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products required

  • Bilingual skills a plus

Job Duties

  • Train, coach and develop Patient Benefit Advocates and Patient Benefit Advocate II staff members
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager/PBA Supervisor to ensure adherence to front desk processes
  • Assess patient application materials for Erie Sliding Fee Scale Discount Program and insurance programs
  • Perform monthly and corporate performance reviews
  • Hold monthly team meetings to discuss performance, attendance, challenges and growth opportunities
  • Ensure accurate staff scheduling, approve timesheets and PTO requests
  • Perform other duties as required
