Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years previous experience as a front desk supervisor or four years front office experience
  • Working knowledge of guest services and hotel policies
  • Mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending and lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years previous experience as a front desk supervisor or four years front office experience in hotel work
  • Working knowledge of guest services and hotel policies and operations
  • High school level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
  • Familiarity with computerized cash register systems

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest arrival and departure procedures are accurately followed in a smooth and timely manner
  • Ensure the front desk team regularly calculates and posts monies, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit using proper cash handling methods
  • Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain responsibility for personal bank according to hotel policy
  • Assist and make recommendations to the Assistant General Manager on performance evaluations, discipline and terminations
  • Coordinate guest service efforts including group arrivals, departures, and guest transportation
  • Coordinate activities and maintain good relations with valet and taxi services
  • Provide information and assist staff in recommending local restaurants, theaters, events and activities to guests
  • Follow up on guest complaints and problems promptly and professionally
  • Implement emergency training and procedures to protect guests, staff and hotel assets
  • Ensure all Front Desk Associate duties are completed daily
