Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in front desk management or relevant hospitality role
  • proficiency with hotel management software such as Opera and Synxis
  • excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle cash and credit transactions securely
  • strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • capable of working flexible hours
  • must adhere to company policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hotel front desk or guest service roles
  • ability to manage and train a team
  • experience with hotel property management systems
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • knowledge of reservation and cash handling procedures
  • leadership experience in a hospitality setting
  • familiarity with safety and emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients
  • manage according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards and instill passion for customer service in all associates
  • ensure all staff is properly trained on front desk operations, hotel facilities and services, local directions, and safety procedures
  • supervise the front desk and reservation functions to ensure superior guest services and security of monies and guest information
  • supervise security of cash, credit card transactions, and guest information
  • supervise seasonal demand reservation strategy with the hotel management team
  • work with property management system (Opera) and reservation system (Synxis) to maximize revenue
  • establish effective front desk communication through logs, meetings, and one-on-one interactions
  • ensure guest special requests are fulfilled
  • supervise daily execution of the shoppe and the pour ensuring they are stocked and maintained
  • establish and implement service recovery guidelines ensuring guest satisfaction
  • respond to guest complaints promptly and professionally
  • promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other shifts and departments
  • register guests, issue room keys, provide hotel information, and answer phones courteously
  • supervise accurate processing of cash and credit transactions including deposits and reports
  • communicate outstanding guest requests to management
  • regularly sell hotel rooms through direct client contact
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol laws
  • perform other duties as assigned
