Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel front desk or guest service roles
  • Experience with hotel property management and reservation systems
  • Strong leadership and training skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of safety, emergency, and legal compliance
  • Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient in organizing and supervising team operations
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused mindset and problem resolution skills.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in front desk management or guest service roles within the hotel industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of hotel management software such as Opera and Synxis
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions securely
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • Basic understanding of accounting and human resources functions
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and security regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Job Duties

  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all guest and client interactions
  • Manage and train all front desk staff on operations, facilities, services, local directions, and emergency procedures
  • Supervise front desk and reservation functions ensuring secure cash and credit card handling and guest information protection
  • Oversee seasonal demand reservation strategy and optimize revenue using Opera and Synxis systems
  • Maintain effective communication through logs, meetings, and one-on-one interaction with staff
  • Fulfill guest special requests and ensure proper delivery of guest services
  • Supervise the stocking, maintenance, and presentation of the hotel shoppe and pour
  • Implement service recovery guidelines and respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other shifts and department management
  • Register guests, issue room keys, provide hotel information, and answer phones courteously
  • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately including posting charges, completing reports, preparing deposits, and securing cash banks
  • Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management requiring follow-up
  • Regularly sell hotel rooms through direct client contact
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
