Job Requirements

  • College degree in hotel administration
  • 2-3 years hotel management or supervisory experience
  • experience with Marriott or Hilton select-service hotels
  • minimum 6 months supervisory experience
  • verifiable history with references
  • open availability
  • ability to speak, read, and understand English

  • knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures

Job Duties

  • Directly or indirectly supervise associates and/or supervisors
  • interview, hire, and train associates
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • ensure guests receive outstanding service by maintaining a guest-friendly environment
  • guarantee total guest satisfaction while representing the company professionally
  • maintain property safety and security procedures
  • foster positive working relationships with all associates
  • oversee front desk operations and maintain organization
  • prepare work schedules based on forecasted occupancy
  • supervise day-to-day activities of front desk, bell, and driver staff
  • use leadership skills to maximize productivity and satisfaction
  • ensure exceptional customer service and teamwork
  • coordinate staffing and payroll with budget standards
  • monitor payroll activities
  • perform manager-on-duty shifts
  • coordinate front desk with other departments
  • participate in daily Yield Management Meetings
  • enforce safety rules and take corrective actions
  • manage front desk supplies inventory and purchases
  • collaborate closely with general manager and assistant general manager
