Job Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years hospitality related experience including front desk operations
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • willingness to work varied schedules including holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong organizational and leadership abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years hospitality related experience including front desk operations
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong problem-solving abilities
  • knowledge of front office systems and procedures
  • ability to handle guest complaints effectively
  • familiarity with budgeting and financial monitoring
  • understanding of hospitality industry standards and guest service excellence
  • proficiency in multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates
  • oversee all front office operations in the absence of the Assistant General Manager
  • remain an active participant at the front desk, including checking in/out guests, preparing bills and handling guest requests
  • resolve guest complaints and concerns by conducting thorough research and determining effective solutions
  • respond to brand Guest Alerts for resolution
  • be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing them
  • participate in lobby ambassador and other guest interaction activities
  • assist in hotel food and beverage when needed
  • assist in monitoring front office financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting controls
  • assist in development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
  • review guest correspondence and incident logs to direct staff accordingly
  • communicate updated procedures and standards to staff
  • ensure front office supplies and merchandise are stocked and inventoried
  • coordinate with Sales office for group resumes and rooming lists
  • monitor occupancy to ensure efficient use and minimize overbooking
  • follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program
  • practice safe work habits and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
