Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hospitality preferred
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- strong organizational skills
- customer service orientation
- ability to follow detailed procedures
- willingness to participate in training and development programs
Job Qualifications
- Experience in hotel front office or housekeeping operations preferred
- knowledge of hotel management software such as Opera
- understanding of Forbes service standards
- ability to work both AM and PM shifts
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- supervisory or management experience is an asset
- basic proficiency in revenue and room management
- ability to conduct training sessions
Job Duties
- Conduct hotel and departmental orientations
- train staff on Forbes standards specific to front office and housekeeping
- provide detailed training on various front office and housekeeping roles
- ensure proficiency in the rooms management system Opera
- facilitate participation in daily pre-shift meetings and hotel trainings
- assist in scheduling and management tasks
- manage guest complaints and revenue management
- build housekeeping boards and conduct guest room inspections
- shadow management staff and participate in management stand-ups
- complete special projects as assigned
