Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hospitality preferred
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • strong organizational skills
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to follow detailed procedures
  • willingness to participate in training and development programs

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hotel front office or housekeeping operations preferred
  • knowledge of hotel management software such as Opera
  • understanding of Forbes service standards
  • ability to work both AM and PM shifts
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • supervisory or management experience is an asset
  • basic proficiency in revenue and room management
  • ability to conduct training sessions

Job Duties

  • Conduct hotel and departmental orientations
  • train staff on Forbes standards specific to front office and housekeeping
  • provide detailed training on various front office and housekeeping roles
  • ensure proficiency in the rooms management system Opera
  • facilitate participation in daily pre-shift meetings and hotel trainings
  • assist in scheduling and management tasks
  • manage guest complaints and revenue management
  • build housekeeping boards and conduct guest room inspections
  • shadow management staff and participate in management stand-ups
  • complete special projects as assigned
