Job Requirements

  • One to two years of post-high school education
  • Previous front desk experience in hotels or related administration work
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of arithmetic
  • Ability to use computer software and hotel management systems
  • Ability to sustain composure and positive attitude under pressure
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be energetic, outgoing, and service oriented
  • Must abide by payroll policies and rules of conduct
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Must complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Additional language ability preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to input data and access computer information

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years of post-high school education
  • Previous front desk experience in hotels or related administration work
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and web analytics tools
  • Basic proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PC knowledge
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual fluency preferred
  • Hospitality oriented with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of hotel management systems such as Room Master and OPERA Cloud
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Register guests and confirm reservations
  • Assist with making and modifying reservations
  • Provide information about hotel services and amenities
  • Maintain accurate guest history files and room availability
  • Handle VIP and special guest accommodations
  • Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction
  • Communicate with other shifts and departments
  • Maintain organized and clean work area
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Document guest requests and problems
  • Manage assigned bank and ensure accuracy
